The power of the mind is incomprehensible to most of us.
Most of the time we just go along without even considering how profoundly our thoughts affect our life.
Whether we know it or not, we are presently creating much of what is happening in our lives. This includes the health and well being of our mind and body, relationships, opportunities, financial success and more.
We are not usually told this or taught this, from our teachers and parents, but we are very powerful beings. And we are constantly making decisions and running off old patterns of thought that are many times outdated, inappropriate, distorted and negative.
As I say to some of my clients, we are seeing things through our childhood perspectives rather than our adult eyes and it just is NOT serving us any longer.
What would serve you is to become aware when you first start feeling upset or uncomfortable, sometimes our thoughts are so fleeting we just notice somewhere in our body is tense. Breathe into it… this is you becoming more conscious. Using our breath to calm ourselves and become more aware of our thoughts as well as what is going on in our bodies is an important tool we can all develop.
Yes, I know it’s easier to just keep going without bringing awareness to our thoughts, but it is so much more rewarding , grounding, and positive to learn to be in the moment and change those unhealthy thought patterns that repeatedly bring up old negative reactions from our past.
Our brains have these neuro-pathways that are like deep grooves which contain memories and experiences. They are familiar and therefore comfortable. When we are unaware and unconscious, many times we keep using these same neuro-pathways, which contain the old thought patterns that create discomfort, anxiety, worry, fears, bad habits and other negative actions and reactions. When we shift our thought patterns we can change our behaviors and begin to have healthier experiences of calm, comfort, joy and generally a more positive lifestyle and feelings of over all well-being.
Our thoughts affect our lives SIGNIFICANTLY, and hopefully we can be more aware of this, and begin creating the lives we want.
Hypnotherapy can help this awareness come about even more quickly and effectively, with the repetition of positive suggestions creating new, healthier, more positive neuro-pathways.
Hypnosis, along with cognitive therapy tools, can assist you in moving forward to a comfortable, healthier and more joyful life.
