Anger is a learned response; it seems to be some peoples default mechanism. When something unwanted occurs a first reaction is anger. It is too easy to get irritated and upset. We see it everywhere: on TV, in the movies, on the street, driving, etc.
There may be other factors that cause people to get angry as an immediate reaction having to do with the environment. It is a well-known fact that we are exposed to EMF’s (Electro Magnetic Frequencies). According to Dr. Amir Raz, assistant professor of clinical neuroscience at Columbia University, “high levels of nonionizing energy, such as at radio wave frequencies, can damage the structure and function of the nervous system.” That said, often times we can learn how to respond in a healthier way, just as we’ve learned how to respond in an angry impatient way.
When we react angrily it sets off all kinds of negative responses from others as well as our own bad feelings about ourselves. These feelings build up over the years and combine with negative self-talk. These built up feelings act as triggers to then set off more negative, angry self-sabotaging behaviors. Sabotaging behaviors such as overeating, smoking cigarettes, nail biting, displacement of anger and frustration can lead to an unsatisfying, unhappy life.
Anger often leads to the disintegration of relationships. Without recognizing and then working on your anger triggers you may be setting yourself up to repeat these destructive patterns in your present relationships as well as your future ones.
When you become more mindful of your actions you gain control over situations that in the past may gotten you into trouble. By recognizing the downward spiral, through cognitive work and hypnotherapy you can learn to pause, thus learning to respond in a calm way rather then react in an angry way.
This is where hypnotherapy can help tremendously. Since hypnosis is a relaxing, calming state it allows you to feel safe, comfortable and peaceful. Hypnotherapists can access the subconscious mind and help replace your negative reactions with more positive responses. Along with hypnosis you learn conscious behaviors that you can use to calm and relax yourself. This allows you to feel more in control and therefore empowered in your everyday live.
